With visual search being predicted as where the search category will be heading in the future, the SearchMe site is one to watch. The functionality gives users actual web pages to digitally page through (as if browsing an online magazine), instead of just a list of links, and will likely be employed by more websites going forward. I think what's cool about SearchMe is not so much the rich visual interface (although I admit, it's cool), but rather their ability to auto-categorize. As TechCrunch reports, "They are also auto-categorizing every page in the index to help users with disambiguation. A search for “Apple” can be done in the category “technology” to avoid results about fruit." That's going to help the search experience.
